Grace Potter is an American singer and songwriter. She was born on June 20, 1983, in Waitsfield, Vermont. She is the daughter of Peggy and Sparky Potter. Her mother was a piano teacher. Grace began studying music at age six. In high school, she became involved in choirs. She dreamed of becoming a professional singer.
Potter grew up in Waitsfield, Vermont. She attended St. Lawrence University, and after college, she decided to pursue a career in music. Then, in 2002, she met drummer Matt Burr, who saw her perform at an open mic night and invited her to join his band. She soon teamed up with Courtright Beard and wrote songs inspired by jazz. She also picked up the Hammond B-3 and became a recording artist.

It is the result of her journey of self-reflection over the past few years. Produced by Potter and her husband Eric Valentine, the album features contributions from many collaborators, including her Lucius bandmates. It features the lead single, “Love Is Love.”
Potter’s new album Daylight features 11 tracks and is the follow-up to her 2015 solo debut, Midnight. It was produced by Eric Valentine and features four Lucius vocalists. The album has received universal claim and is nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album.

Grace Potter has a relationship with producer Eric Valentin. In 2017, the singer began recording tracks at her home in Topanga Canyon. The unsigned artist lived with Valentine, who also produced her debut album, Midnight. Her songs on this album are intensely personal, musically daring ,and exacting.
The singer is also a big supporter of the Alzheimer’s Association, as her grandfather was diagnosed with the disease as a child. To help raise funds, she founded the Night at Sardi’s Los Angeles fundraiser event. She performed her original song “Something That I Want” on the ABC television series One Tree Hill, and later re-recorded it for the movie Tangled. In addition, she appeared in the television series Prep & Landing, where she starred as Carol. In 2012, Potter also appeared as a guest on ABC’s The Chew.
