The festival is set to debut in 2022. In addition to the main event, Caveman also has two additional days of family activities, including the caveman scavenger hunt. The Caveman Music Festival is set to draw approximately 10,000 attendees to Monument Lake Resort. The festival is held every year on Labor Day weekend. The location is near the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and offers scenic vistas and wildlife activities.

Villa Grove

While the area is not new to hosting large events, it has never hosted a music festival as large as Caveman. The new location and some local concerns have prompted some people to seek out additional information. One of these individuals is Kyle Grote, owner of Primo Cannabis. He was not aware of the new venue but offered to help by organizing a pre-festival tour to educate the public on what to expect during the festival.

The residents of Villa Grove, Colorado, met with Saguache County officials, the Colorado State Patrol, and the concert organizers last week to discuss the potential impact the concert could have on the neighborhood. The concert is scheduled for Labor Day Weekend and features a lineup headlined by Dierks Bentley. According to the concert organizers, the concert will attract about 12,000 to 13,000 people, far fewer than the expected 20,000. Residents expressed their concern about the lack of notification by the county commissioners but said the responsibility fell on the festival organizers.
