What Happened at Americana Music Festival?

The War on Drugs and the Caveman Music Festival are among the issues that dominated the 2016 edition of the event. As with any live music event, some incidents warrant investigation. We spoke to several artists about their experiences and outlined the events that led to the arrests of three musicians. We also learned about the consequences of these arrests. Listed below are some of the highlights of the event.

The War on Drugs

The War on Drugs is an indie rock band from Philadelphia that formed in 2005. With roots in the American heartland, their sound melds elements of classic rock with experimental electronica. Their sound is not a mass of catchy choruses, but rather a steady layering of grooves and sonic textures. Their new album Slave Ambient is an example of this.
