Caveman Music Festivals
The Caveman Music Festival is a trifecta of music, camping, and other requisites. The marquee event will be held in Weston, Colorado over Labor Day weekend. Some of the top acts include country music superstar Dierks Bentley, folk rocker Sheryl Crow, and indie rock stalwarts Foo Fighters. A ticket package costs about $470 per person. The festival is also home to the annual Weston Oktoberfest and the Colorado State Fair. The town is about an hour’s drive from Denver and is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. The surrounding area boasts some of the best hiking and fishing in the west. Some of the better hotels in the region include the historic Monument Lake Resort and the nearby Stone Ridge.

The festival is the brainchild of Brett McGraw and Red Shahan who both happen to be avid musicians. The inaugural edition was a resounding success, generating a cult following amongst locals and visitors alike. It is no surprise that the organizers are bringing the event back for a second go-around in 2023. The lineup will be a mix of the above-mentioned acts plus a slew of newcomers. To help ensure a smooth show, organizers have enlisted the services of the pros at the helm. One of the better perks is that all attendees get a suite of amenities akin to a hotel. If the thought of sleeping in the desert is not your thing, don’t fret; the organizers will arrange for overnight stays at the event’s best hotels, many of which offer a free shuttle to the festival site. The festival is a family-friendly affair, making it a good time for the whole gang. The site is also conveniently located near the Rocky Mountains, a popular hiking and fishing destination in its own right. During the event, the weather is usually on the dry side and the crowds are usually light, making it the perfect venue for a family reunion or a romantic getaway.
