Tim McAllister performs City Noir

The saxophonist Tim McAllister has a new commission for So Caveman Music Festival 2022: City Noir. The work was written by American composer John Adams, who was Festival composer-in-residence. The piece features the alto saxophone and is part of the Festival’s Music of Today series. This new work is inspired by noir films from the 1940s and 1950s and calls for a soloist with jazz leanings. While this work calls for a classically trained virtuoso, the saxophonist discovered a challenging saxophone part and decided to write a new version – City Noir!

BRCC Fund supports veterans & first responders

The BRCC Fund is a nonprofit that makes donations to organizations that support first responders, law enforcement, and veterans. Each year, the foundation donates more than $260,000 to causes related to veterans and first responders. These organizations include the Boot Campaign, Warrior’s Heart, Grace After Fire, and the Gold Star Summer Camp at Echo Hill Ranch. Many other organizations also benefit from the BRCC Fund’s support. In February alone, the fund donated $71,000 to HunterSeven Foundation and others.

Besides supporting veterans and first responders, the BRCC Fund also supports veteran entrepreneurs. The company’s mission is to hire military, law enforcement, and first responders. BRCC’s founder Evan Hafer aims to create jobs for first responders and veterans while also supporting the military community. The company also supports conservation efforts and engages local communities and organizations to promote its mission. The BRCC Fund also supports nonprofits that help the local community and its service members.
