Caveman is an indie rock band

Caveman is a New York City-based indie rock band. The band formed in 2010 and has released three full-length albums to date. They have toured extensively, most notably with War on Drugs and Jeff Tweedy, and have played a handful of major festivals, including Coachella and Bonnaroo. They have also won a number of awards, including a Pitchfork Music Award. In addition to performing live, Caveman has honed their DJ skills.

The band’s sound is unmistakably indie, but it’s tempered by a professional air and a world-weary rasp. The members of Caveman have been a part of several New York City bands over the past decade. This experience catalyzed the formation of the band. Members previously played in The Subjects, White Clam, and Elefant, among others.
