New Orleans hosts Americana music festival

If you’re a fan of country music, you’ll want to check out the Americana Music Festival in New Orleans this fall. The AMA has chosen New Orleans as the theme of this year’s conference, and panels were focusing on the music of New Orleans. In addition to the festival itself, the AMA hosted an interview with Dr. John and Mac Rebennack. The two artists, who are considered to be legends in their own right, are both from New Orleans.

Atlanta R&B phenomenon headlines bill

The essence of the caveman music festival is a one-day, two-stage affair combining dynamic DJ sets with performances from Atlanta’s R&B artists and legacy acts. This year’s lineup includes Erykah Badu, Miguel, Wale, and Lucky Daye, who will be appearing as additional stops on her national tour. Other headlining artists include DVSN, Maeta, Ty Dolla, and Lloyd.

Four super lounge stages feature hip-hop acts

The four super lounge stages at the Essence of Caveman Music Festival include performances by Nicki Minaj, Beenie Man, Kes The Band, and Dream Doll. The main stage features acts like Ashanti and Nas, and there are other surprises thrown into the mix as well. Wyclef Jean brought out Lauryn Hill to perform Fugees classics. The festival closes out the weekend with performances by Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, and Nas.

BRCC Fund supports veterans, first responders, and families

If you’re a fan of Black Rifle Coffee Company’s premium coffees, you’ve likely heard about their “Front Lines of Service” campaign, which honors veterans and compassionate community service across the country. Each May, BRCC spotlights a local hero and donates to organizations that help support these men and women. This year, the company’s Utah locations opened in Spanish Fork and Salt Lake City.

Covid vaccination required

It seems like Essence has gotten a little bit more specific about their COVID vaccination requirements since their announcement on social media. While a negative COVID test can get you into the festival, you’ll still have to show proof of vaccination. The admission policy has been confusing from the beginning, though, as the auto-generated information on Ticketmaster receipts suggested that either a negative COVID test or proof of vaccination was enough to get you into the festival.

All Things Go Creator Summit to take place in the Dome

The All Things Go Music Festival is coming to Washington, D.C. on October 16, where the lineup will quadruple and move to the Merriweather Post Pavilion. In addition to its stellar lineup, the festival will also feature the All Things Go Creator Summit, a free daylong conference for music creators. Speakers at this event will include notable musical voices. This year’s event will also feature a Women in Music and Media panel.
